David Lee Nathan

David Lee Nathan, of Marion and formerly of the Chesaning area, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Chesaning Comfort Care. He was 68.

David was born on June 3, 1955 to Robert Selfrige and Geri Deuel in Owosso, Michigan. He spent his career working for Hehr Glass for over 25 years and later as a welder for Woodard's Furniture for about 3 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, going fishing and caring for his lawn. David was a talented wood-worker and liked to rebuild old furniture. He loved spending time with his family.
  
David is survived by his daughter, Dena (Dave) Thomas of Lucas; grandson, Dylan; siblings, Todd (Cheri) Nathan of Denver, CO, Jova (John) Moffit of Bay City, Bob Nathan of Saginaw, and Jeri Lynn Nathan of Montrose; caretaker, Tammy Stoner of LeRoy; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Selfrige; mother and father, Geri and Eugene Nathan; and a sister, Heidi Sims.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you for the special care David received from both the staff at Chesaning Comfort Care and the nurses with Gentiva Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion. A luncheon will follow at Christie's Vintage Stone Venue in Marion.
