David Dickson Spencer

David Dickson Spencer, 83, of  Houghton Lake Heights passed away on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

David was born on June 30, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to David and Marion (Blaicher) Spencer. David grew up in the Brighton area where he graduated from Brighton High School. He moved to the Houghton Lake area from Howell in 1979. David was a Real Estate Agent for over 30 years. On February 25, 1989 in Houghton Lake David was married to Jane Ellen Huffman. David enjoyed reading and watching sports on of all kinds.  His special passion was driving, especially driving his race car at Merritt Speedway.                                                                       .
Surviving Mr. Spencer are his loving wife of 32 years, Jane Ellen Spencer of Houghton Lake Heights; son, Lance Spencer of Howell; daughter, Candy Spencer of Brighton; two step sons, Rodney Huffman of Houghton  Lake, and Corey Huffman of Lake City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  David was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Richard. 

At the request of Mr. Spencer there will be family services conducted.  Memorial contributions in memory of David are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
