Dawn Spaulding

TRAVERSE CITY — Dawn R. Spaulding of Marion passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 58.

Dawn was born on August 23, 1960 in Cadillac, Michigan, to Claude and Patricia (Milligan) Pollington. Dawn entered into marriage with Ronald Spaulding on November 7, 1981 in Cadillac, Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting rocks and creating rock gardens around her yard. She surrounded her home with pictures and figurines of fairies. Dawn loved spending time on her Kindle Fire, especially watching and sharing YouTube videos with her family and friends. She was proud of her faith as a Christian. Dawn was a loving wife, a beautiful mother and she cherished her grandchildren.

Dawn is survived by her husband of more than 36 years, Ron Spaulding; children, Heather (Paul) Poco, Justin Spaulding and Jared Spaulding; grandchildren, Benjamin and Remi Poco; father, Claude Pollington; stepmother, Ruth Ann Pollington; mother-in-law, Sharon (George) Edwards; brothers, Craig (Cynda) Pollington and Matt (Peggy) Pollington; sisters, Shelley Miller, Penny (Chuck) Miller and Joy Pollington; stepsister, Joann (Mike) Westfield; stepbrother, Rory Orvis; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia; sister, Dana Richards; father-in-law, Buddy Wayne Spaulding; and stepbrother, Dale Orvis Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Fosnaught- Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1 p.m.with visitation held one hour prior also at the funeral home. Officiating will be Minister Harry Krupsky. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion.
