Dean B. Carrick

Dean Blair Carrick, age 81, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday March 14, 2025 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Dean was born on October 18, 1943 in Houghton Lake, Michigan to Letha (Carrick) Carrick. He graduated from Houghton Lake High School in 1962. Dean was married on March 11, 1967 in Houghton Lake to Gail Murray. He was the owner and operator of Carrick Trucking & Gravel of Houghton Lake for 58 years. Dean enjoyed playing tennis, basketball and softball. His passion was working and staying busy with his family. 

Dean is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Gail Carrick, sons; Brian (Trudy) Carrick and Mark (Barbie) Carrick, grandchildren; Megan, Nathan and Morgan, brothers; Bill (Janice) Carrick and Lyle (Sharon) Carrick and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Nathan Blair Carrick and brother; Duane Leib. 

Funeral Services for Dean Blair Carrick will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Friday March 21, 2025 from Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday March 21, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
