Debra Bowman Obituary

Lake City - Debra Sue Bowman, of Lake City and formerly of the Grand Rapids area, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was 65.Debra was born on December 31, 1955, in Grand Rapids, to Ted and Virginia (Scott) Reinsma. She grew and attended school in Hudsonville, becoming a graduate in 1976. Debra entered into marriage with Michael George Bowman on May 17, 2002 in Grand Rapids. Michael preceded her in death just this past August.Debra enjoyed spending time crocheting and spending time with her precious pet companions, her dogs, Mackinaw and Kodiak and her cat, Callie. She will be deeply missed.She is survived by her children; two daughters, Kristina (Bruce) Berry of Wyoming and Melissa (Mike) McIntyre of Grandville; one sister, Pat and a brother, Doug; step-sons, Nicholas Bowman and Jacob Bowman; step-daughter, Megan Bowman; sister-in-law, Maureen Bowman; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jeremy Wiersma; and her brother, Gary.Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.The family is being served by the Holdship Family of Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of McBain.
