Dennis Wendell Aldrich

Dennis Wendell Aldrich, age 76 of Lake City passed away, May 27, 2021 at home.

Dennis was born May 20, 1945 in Dearborn to Virginia Ashe. 

He married Penny Spry April 2, 1966 and she preceded him in death June 13, 2016.

Dennis served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired after 30 years from the Ford Motor Company and was an avid extra class amateur radio operator “HAM” KA8ABM and enjoyed the out of doors.  He was a member of the Lake City Eagles Lodge 3884 and the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City. Dennis was also a member of the Northland Community Church.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Ron) Hahn of Lake City and three granddaughters: Lindsey Jackson, Hannah King and Grace Hahn and also three great grandsons: Jaxon Wendell King, Hayden Abel King and Jeremiah Anthony Jackson.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Paul Harold Aldrich.

Military graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the West Branch Township Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Lake City American Legion Post 300.
