Dianne Lynn Hoffman

Dianne Lynn Hoffman, age 60 of Lake City, passed away October  23, 2023 in Summit County, Ohio.

Dianne was born September 11, 1963 in Grand Rapids to Gary C. and Karolyn Kay (Sanders) Hoffman.

Dianne was a graduate of the Lake City High School Class of 1981. She enjoyed sports, and participated in basketball, softball, and track. She graduated Salutatorian of her class, and went on to the University of Michigan where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English and History.

Following her time at U of M, Dianne attended the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, in Lansing, where she obtained her Juris Doctor. She practiced law in Florida, Alaska, Michigan, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.

Dianne particularly enjoyed practicing law in her local Missaukee and Wexford community, as well as Osceola and Clare counties.

She enjoyed traveling, kayaking, and spending time with her family and close friends.

She is survived by her mother, Karolyn Kay Hoffman of Lake City, her brother, Brian J. Hoffman of Cadillac, and her nieces, Emily Hoffman of Grand Rapids, and  Madison  Hoffman of Lake City, her aunts, Carmen Pasternak of Saginaw and Gail Sanders of Clinton Township and her dog, Juna.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Craig Thomas Hoffman, her father, Gary C. Hoffman, her beloved dog, Sydney and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Lake City with Rev. Michael Janowski officiating.  A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time.  Visitation will also be on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 pm. 

Dianne will be laid to rest at the Lake City Cemetery following the Mass.
