Dolores Ann (March) Hose

Dolores Ann Hose, 92, of  Houghton Lake, passed away on Sunday July 27, 2025 at The Brook of Houghton Lake surrounded by her loving family.

Dolores was born on July 17, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to Virgil and Alvera (Gyde) March. She worked as a clerk and in the meat department at a grocery store in Florida and Roscommon. Dolores attended the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church and enjoyed going to the Houghton Lake Senior Center to visit and socialize. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and dancing.

Surviving Dolores are her three daughters, Martha (Allen) Hauch of Houghton Lake, Doris (Gary) Korte of Novi, and Dawn Messenger of Alabama; son, Steaven (MaryAnn) Hose of Houghton Lake; two brothers, Ronald (Kathy) March and Kevin March; five sisters, Linda March, Yvonne Yarnell, Barbara (Jack) Hogue, Sandra Dampier, and Sidone Barbuto; Thirteen grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and  brothers, Roger March, Russell Apps, and Larry Apps. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday August 16, 2025 for Dolores at Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake, with Rev. Douglas Stockwell officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Dolores are asked to be directed to Heartland Hospice at 564 Progress Street, West Branch, Michigan 48661.
