Doloris Eneix Obituary

Doloris Irene Eneix, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born on August 20, 1937, in Flint, Michigan to George and Doris (Keene) Price. On May 14, 1960, she married the love of her life, Alvin Eneix, in Davison, Michigan. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing on April 9, 2023.

Doloris lived a full and hardworking life, holding various positions throughout her career. She worked at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Flint, Tex-All Automotive in Davison, Golden Nugget and Whitie’s restaurants in Davison, Detroit Gasket in Alpena. She spent the remainder of her career working for the former Mercy Hospital in Cadillac as a registered nurse, until her time of retirement. She also dedicated her time to caring for others while working at Autumnwood of McBain and Lakeview Lutheran Manor. Her faith was a central part of her life. Doloris was a devoted and active member of the Catholic Church in the communities of Cadillac, Davison, Alpena, and Petoskey.

In her free time, Doloris enjoyed staying active, especially participating in Jazzercise. She and her husband shared a passion for dancing and often took part in dance competitions together. She also had a deep love for animals and cherished the comfort of being at home. Doloris especially treasured time with her family. She looked forward to hosting Sunday family dinners, where she lovingly prepared meals—often featuring her signature roast—and created lasting memories with those she loved most. She will be remembered as a loving, smart, sweet, and gentle soul whose kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Doloris is survived by her loving children, Shawn (Margo Summer) Eneix, David Eneix, and Serina (Craig) Gerstenberger; grandchildren, Shannon, Melissa (Phil), Gavin (Alizay), and Brennan (Leanna); great-grandchildren, Josh, Brooklyn, Alyissa, Solara, Delilah, and Rosemary; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al; parents, George and Doris; a granddaughter, Christina; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at St. Ann Catholic Church.
