Donna Chandler Obituary

Cadillac - With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Chandler (Wuttke), who died unexpectedly at home on March 5, 2025. Born September 14, 1952, Donna's radiant spirit brightened the world for 72 years. Her vibrant personality and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone she knew.

Donna had a larger than life personality– outgoing, friendly, witty, and fun-loving. She could fill any room with laughter and joy. Her remarkable gift for making conversation with everyone, anywhere she went, enabled her to make friends effortlessly. She was a wellspring of love, warmth, and kindness, touching countless lives with her radiant presence.

Donna grew up in Holyoke, graduating from Holyoke High School in 1970. She went on to major in Education at Westfield State College. Upon graduation, she was a teacher at the Sullivan School in Holyoke before relocating to Colorado, where she continued her teaching career in elementary school until her retirement.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and teacher, Donna is survived by her loving husband, Craig Chandler; her sisters, Diane Ennis (Ed) and Deb Wuttke (Mike); her nieces, Meg Connaughton (Joel) and Shavon Ennis; and her nephew Brendan Ennis (Kiara).  Donna's great-nephews, Landon and Caleb Connaughton, brought her joy and she never missed an occasion to send them special cards and gifts. Her beloved dog, Douglas, will miss her terribly.

Donna was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Kyla Chandler in 2016 and her loving sister, Darlene Wuttke, in 2022. We find great peace in knowing that they are reunited and together again.

Donna had a lasting impact in her professional life as well. Her career as an elementary school teacher was undoubtedly among her greatest accomplishments. She touched the lives of many students and even after retirement continued to work in schools as a substitute teacher.

Donna was an avid reader. The beautiful and serene Cape Cod was her favorite vacation spot and she made sure to visit the Cape whenever she visited home.

Donna's loss is profoundly felt, but her vivacious spirit will continue to live within our hearts. We will forever remember her infectious laugh and her love for life.  As we mourn her physical absence, we take solace in knowing that her love and legacy will continue to inspire us.
