Donna C. Hilden

Marion - Donna C. Hilden, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at home with family by her side. She was 87.

Donna was born on June 18, 1934, in Temple, Michigan to Fred and Theo (McIntyre) Pruden. She entered into marriage at the Temple Church with Clinton "Sam" Burr Hilden in 1950.  The couple shared 68 years of marriage, and the birth of three children, before Sam's death in 2019.

Donna made her living at a few area factories before eventually beginning to cook for senior centers. She enjoyed spending time at the sewing machine and was an avid seamstress, creating everything from her kids clothes to many beautiful blankets over the years.  Donna could often be found tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and truly appreciated the outdoors.  She had many fond memories of fishing with her husband and family. 

Donna is survived by her three children; a son, Gary Hilden; two daughters, Brenda (Wendell) Wing and Teresa Bergey all of Marion; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Snyder; her brother, Clyde Pruden; one sister-in-law, Frances Condy as well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Dodson; a son-in-law, Terry Bergey; and eleven siblings.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and services will take place at Fernwood Cemetery in Temple at a later date.
