Donna Whaley Obituary
Tustin - Donna Belle (Cook) Whaley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was 91.
Donna was born to Glen and Retha Cook on August 24, 1934 in Cadillac, Michigan. Donna graduated from Cadillac Sr. High School in 1952 and married Dean Whaley in 1953. They had four children, Donald (Barbara)Whaley, Diane (Russ) Whaley Payne, Debrah (Edward) Whaley Lewis and Daniel (Rose) Whaley. Donna also had 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Donna worked at Mercy Hospital (now Munson) for over 20 years and also worked at Medical Arts until she retired. She loved working with everyone at both jobs, especially working with Dr. Wolf.
Donna was a very talented seamstress and made her children's clothing, in addition to formal and wedding dresses. She often made things by just looking at them and then sat down and sewed them to perfection. Donna was also very talented in ceramics and won awards for her creations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Whaley; son, Donald Whaley; son-in-law, Russ Payne; grandson, Paul Fuzi; as well as two sisters and one brother.
Special thanks for the love and support from Vicki Boersma, the Wexford Senior Care Center and Hospice of Michigan. A private family committal was held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
