Doris Maitland Obituary

Doris I. Maitland, age 80, of Prudenville passed away on Friday February 21, 2020 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Doris was born on September 23, 1939 in Jackson, Michigan to Thomas and Maude (Phetzing) Carlson. She married William V. Maitland in Jackson in 1962. Doris retired from Foote Hospital in Jackson where she worked as a Lab Tech. She moved to Prudenville in 2012 from Michigan Center. Doris enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by her son; Bill Maitland of Prudenville, grandchildren; Erica, Ashley, Kallie and Kasey and great-grandchildren; Connor, Aleana, Angelee, Lexxus, Jacob, William and Remington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter; Marcy Owens and sister; Deloris.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Jackson. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
