Dorothy Jean Bowerman, age 88, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 31, surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born on May 6, 1937, to Agnes (Masar) and Louis Sapak. She married the love of her life, Eugene Bowerman, on December 1, 1956. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family above all else.
She had a deep love for people and found great joy in caring for others, whether family or friends. Her warm and welcoming spirit drew others to her, and she treasured the many friendships she built throughout her life.
She especially loved cooking and baking, often bringing people together around her table. Dorothy also enjoyed shopping and was an active member of her Red Hat group, where she shared laughter and companionship with dear friends. Her strong Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life and a source of comfort and strength.
More than anything, Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an adoring and loving grandmother to Amy, Austin, and John, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William Sapak, Aloysius Sapak (Eleanor), and James Sapak; five sisters, Rose Smith (Eldred), Veronica Karbowski (Wallace), Rita Premo (Merlin), Josephine Karlsen (George), Margaret Cicinelli (George), and Betty Steinborn (James); and her sister-in-law, Edith Sapak.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Eugene Bowerman; her two children, Jill (Robert Connors) and Gene (Beth); her three grandchildren, Amy, Austin, and John (Connors); and her two brothers, Robert Sapak (Cathy) and John Sapak.
