Dorthy Mae Mosher

Dorthy Mae Mosher, age 89 of Lake City passed away June 3, 2021 at Autumnwood of McBain.

Dorthy was born July 4, 1931 in Shaftsburg, Michigan to Clarence and Neva (Herbert) Seeley.

She was married on July 14, 1950 to Ivan G. Mosher in Lake City.  Ivan preceded her in death in 1996.

Dorthy passed the time knitting, bird watching and also created wood crafts which were displayed and sold from her yard.  She loved spending time with her large family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she always enjoyed her dogs.  Dorthy made the best cookies and macaroni salad in Missaukee County and always had a hot cup of coffee ready to share.

She is survived by her seven children: Dale (Kim) Mosher of Lake City, Brian (Deb) Mosher of Falmouth, David (Lori) Mosher of Jennings, Terry (Cathy) Mosher of Lake City, Susan (Kevin) Merritt of Windsor, VA, Paul (Jana) Mosher of Shelbyville, and Keith Mosher of Lake City, sixteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Gladys (John) Pardee of Lake City.

Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Howard and Raymond Seeley and two sisters: Doris Keeley and Ruth Shivlie.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lake City Cemetery with Rev. Wayne VanDuinen officiating.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Missaukee County Commission on Aging.
