Edith "Janell" (Ashbay) Williams

Edith "Janell" Williams, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. 

She was born to Virgil and Clara Ashbay on May 20, 1941. She graduated from Manton High School, Class of 1960. Janell worked at K-Mart in Cadillac and then later at Avon Automotive in Manton, where she retired from. Janell loved camping, traveling, her two children, Tom and Saunice, and all of her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was always up for an adventure.

Janell is survived by her children, Tom (Leona) Gregg and Saunice Musselman; her 8 grandkids, Melissa (Rob) King, Alicia (Paul) Kimbel, Krysta, Lydia (Trent) Wollberg, Dylan, Annette (Earl) Fountain, Katie (Gene) Birgy, and Rebecca (Calvin) Powell; great-grandkids, Hunter, Lily, Madeline, Daisy, Evelyn, Maple, Ruka, Violet, Luke, Drew, Hazel, Carter, Carson, Corbin, McCoy, and Maverick; sisters, Bethel Eckert and Valerie Larr; sister-in-law, Esther Ashbay; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Clara; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis (Patrick) Conley; brother, Dallas Ashbay; two brothers-in-law, Ray Eckert and Marlin Larr; and son-in-law, Tim Musselman.

A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Living Light Christian Church in Lake City.
