Edward Paul Preczewski

Edward Paul Preczewski, 93, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Wednesday November 17, 2021 at The Villa of West Branch.

Edward was born on April 18, 1928 in Hazel Park, Michigan to Joseph and Anna (Zitney) Preczewski. He grew up in the Hazel Park area where he graduated from Hazel Park High School. Edward served as a SGT(T) in the Army during the Korean War.  On July 27, 1953, Edward was married in Hazel Park to Noreen Sarah Williams. He worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for many years. The couple then moved from Troy to Houghton Lake in 1974. They owned and operated Sun-N-Snow Resort on Houghton Lake for many years before retiring.  Edward was a member of St. James Catholic Church, American Legion, and Circle Square Square Dance Club.  He enjoyed antique cars, being outdoors, and especially square dancing and spending time with his beloved wife, Noreen.

Surviving Mr. Preczewski are his daughter, Judy (Ken) Delgreco of St. Johns; two sons, Michael (Joyce) Preczewski of Roscommon, and Ken (Patricia) Preczewski of Roscommon; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Alice Seiner; several nieces and nephews.   Edward was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Noreen Sarah Preczewski; three brothers and two sisters. 

Mass of Christian Burial for Edward Paul Preczewski will be conducted at 11:00am from St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Bernard Tyler officiating. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon. Visitation will be held on Monday November 22, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. James Catholic Church, Houghton Lake.  Memorial contributions in memory of Edward are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
