Edward "Ed" E. Gibson Sr.

Edward "Ed" Gibson Sr., age 88, of Houghton Lake passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Ed was born on May 25, 1936 in Riga, Michigan to Howard and Eleanora (Pence) Gibson. He was a mechanic and owned and operated Gibson's Service in Prudenville for over 20 years. Ed was married on March 13, 1991 in Roscommon to Loretta "Laurie" Malone. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years, fishing and boating. 

Ed is survived by his children; Edward (Grace) Gibson Jr., Yancy Gibson, Cindi (George) Fitzpatrick and Troy (Tina) Gibson, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother; Leroy (Brenda) Gibson and sister; Barbara (David) Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Laurie Gibson, son; Kenny Gibson. 

Per Ed's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
