Faye Mavis Dague, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Assisted Lifestyles AFC Home in Evart. She was 89.
Faye was born on September 4, 1935 to Frank and Lena (Mavis) Flemming in Gladwin, Michigan. On December 27, 1953 she was united in marriage to Richard G. Dague in Marion, Michigan. The couple spent 35 years together, until his time of passing on November 23, 1988. Faye and Richard owned and operated Dague's Upholstery in Marion, Michigan, from which she retired in 2022. She served at the Grand Marshal award for serving over the years in a ceremonial role for the parades. She enjoyed horses and stopped to watch them run at every opportunity. Faye was actively involved in the community and loved spending time with her friends.
Faye is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Rose Vanderhoef, Tom Stephen Dague, Dan David and Linda Dague, and Richard Douglas and Susan Dague; grandchildren, Austin, Anson, Autumn, Cara, Samantha, Ben, and Brianna; several great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Flemming; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard G. Dague; grandson, Jeff Dague; parents, Frank and Lena Flemming; siblings, Phil Flemming, John Flemming, Geraldine Vanderwould, Rosie Parkhurst, Eleanore Flemming, and Molly Mansfield.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in the spring.
