Frank E. Wiggins Sr.

Frank E. Wiggins Sr., age 88 of Merritt passed away October 25, 2025 at home with his family.

Frank was born October 5, 1937 in Merritt to Carl and Jennie (Carpenter) Wiggins Sr.

He was united in marriage to the former Judy Satchell on June 15, 1957 in Moorestown. Judy preceded him in death on April 2, 2013.

Frank retired after forty six years of working in the oil fields and was a driver for Classic Chevrolet. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and side by side trail riding. He was a member of the Merritt Golden Agers and enjoyed square and round dancing.

Frank is survived by three daughters, Cathie (Larry) Shank of Merritt, Sandi King of Houghton Lake, Deanna (Brian) Cortright of Albion, two daughters in law, Rosemary “Bud” Storey of Falmouth and Jody Wiggins and a special friend, Phyllis Birtles of Falmouth.  He will be missed by twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren. 

Surviving him is also a brother, Mike Wiggins of Falmouth, a brother in law, Terry (Peggy) Satchell of Alpena and nieces, nephews and many friends.

Frank was preceded in death by two sons, Frank (Butch) Wiggins and Steve Wiggins, a great grandson, Aaron J. Wiggins, a granddaughter, Trina Shank, a sister, Barb Schmidt and a brother, Carl Wiggins Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Merritt Golden Agers, 5833 E. Lotan Road, in Falmouth from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm. 

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Merritt Golden Agers.
