Gary D. Knoll

Gary D. Knoll, age 72, of Prudenville passed away on Sunday November 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

 Gary was born on February 4, 1952 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to Henry and Dolores (Priehs) Knoll. He graduated from East Detroit High School. Gary was married on October 4, 1996 in Clinton Twp. to Libby Wagner. The couple have been residents of Prudenville for 27 years. Gary was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. As a life-long tinkerer and avid do-it-yourselfer, Gary instilled a sense of independence and confidence in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. 

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Libby Knoll of Prudenville, children; Steven Knoll of Prudenville, Rebecca (Jason) Kulman of Memphis, Ashley (Matt) Cordero of St. Clair, Tara (Robert) Gilliland of Marysville, Sean (Samantha) Gilliland of Tacoma, WA and Kurt (Kaitlynn) Knoll of Houghton Lake, sixteen grandchildren, brothers; Tom (Debbie) Knoll of Weeki Wachee, FL and Jim (Denise) Knoll of Sterling Heights, Brother-in-Law Jim Gadde of Prudenville, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Donna Gadde.

A Memorial Service for Gary Knoll will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 7, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Kruse officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday December 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
