Gerald "Jerry" Junior Miller

Gerald "Jerry" Junior Miller, of Cadillac, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at his home with family by his side. He was 81

Jerry was born on March 30, 1944 to Henry and Verda (Lamphere) Miller. He married Veronica Jeffers in 1961, the couple spent 50 years together until her time of passing in 2011. He then later entered into marriage with Margie Mellinger. Jerry worked at several factories in Cadillac, until he got a job working for the City of Cadillac. A job he truly enjoyed for nearly 30 years. He worked all of his life to provide a good home for his wife and children. Jerry had a passion for motorcycles, and when he was able, he loved taking trips and riding around on his. In his spare time, he could often be found outside going hunting or fishing. He was a talented fabricator and could make or fix nearly anything. Jerry cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his loving family; wife, Margie Mellinger; three children, Jerry (Shannon) Miller, Dennis Miller, and Barbara (John) Jaekel; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl McKinley and Joann Leggett; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
  
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Veronica; his mother, Verda; his father, Henry; his daughter-in-law, Katie Miller; and his beloved Yorkie, Abby.
  
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Hospice of Michigan; his nurses Tam and Brandy, and his aide Melanie, for the caring, loving, faith-based patient care they provided Jerry.

Jerry will be cremated and a family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
