Gerald "Jerry" Paddock Obituary

Manton - Gerald Duane Paddock, longtime resident of Manton passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Munson Healthcare's Cadillac Hospital. He was 77.

Gerald was born on May 18, 1947, in Manton, Michigan to Darrell and Virginia (Marsh) Paddock. He grew up in the area before relocating to Lowell where he attended and graduated from High School. Jerry worked at the electric company, Amway, and the road commission after high school before being able to purchase and run his own trucking business.  He spent many years on the road and created many memories with the kids traveling with them in the truck all over the country.  Jerry enjoyed watching Tigers baseball, any football game, and playing games of pool with the guys at the senior center

Jerry spent many years in Florida where he began raising, training, and racing horses at the Tampa Downs.  He returned home to Manton to care for his family and others in the community.  Jerry was a board member of the Manton Senior Center, influential in getting upgrades and the Manton Station stage built at the Manton Railroad park.  Jerry will be deeply missed by his Manton community.

Gerald is survived by his two children: Leslie (Todd) Molag of Saranac, Randy Paddock of Lowell; many grandkids; great-grandkids; as well as other loving family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gloria.

Memorial services will be held at the Manton Senior Center in the spring and he will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Manton, alongside his family.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Manton Senior Center.
