Gerald "Jerry" E. Schray

Cadillac, Michigan- Gerald Eugene Schray, of Manton, passed away on Tuesday, January  8, 2019 at the Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. He was 77.
 
Gerald was born on October 5, 1941 to AC and Eva (Wilson) Schray in Jackson County, Michigan. After moving to Manton, he worked for Avon Automotive until his time of retirement in 2003. Gerald enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. His friends and family will remember him for his green thumb and tending to his great garden. Gerald entered into marriage with Bonnie on May 16, 1985 in Manton, Michigan. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially all of his grandchildren.
 
Gerald is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Schray; children, Jamie (Rod) Maxon, Jane (Myron) Moffit, Gerald Schray Jr., Joel Schray, and Jackie Walker; step-children, Matthew Martin and Dean (Michelle) Martin; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Barb) Schray, Bill Schray and Carolyn (Bill) Fox; and many other loving family members and friends.
 
Gerald's memory will continue through his donation to Gift of Life.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
