Gladys Pardee Obituary

Gladys Louise Pardee, age 88 of Lake City, passed away October 17, 2024 Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital.

Gladys was born February 24, 1936 in Shaftsburg, Michigan to Clarence and Neva (Herbert) Seeley.

She was united in marriage on May 9, 1969 to John Pardee in Lake City.

Gladys grew up in Lake City and graduated from the Lake City High School in 1955. She loved to travel and enjoyed going for rides around the area. She kept busy knitting, crocheting and creating macramé items. Gladys was a homemaker and took good care of an abundance of friends and family. She enjoyed watching rodeo on television, was a big country enthusiast and a Tiger baseball fan.

For several years, Gladys dedicated the month of October to extravagantly decorate her front yard for Halloween for the community and contributed donated funds to the Lake City Fire Department.

Gladys is survived by her husband, John and two sons, Allen (Marjorie) Boyer and Robert (Kellysue) Boyer, all of Lake City. She is also survived by grandchildren, Robert Boyer of Cadillac, Amanda (Robert) Yorch of Higgins Lake and Allison Boyer of Lake City and her six great grandchildren, Dillon, Karlie, Faith, Whisper, Tyler and Amara.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Zachary Boyer.   

A Celebration of Life for Gladys will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Pardee residence, 890 N. Morey Road, Lake City, MI 49651
