Harold William Bliss

Harold William Bliss, 84, of Houghton Lake, passed away on Saturday July 12, 2025 at home with his loving wife by his side.

Harold was born on July 22, 1940 in Lapeer to Kenneth and Gertrude (Sherman) Bliss. Harold grew up and attended school in the Lapeer area. He worked as a materials handler for General Motors for many years before his retirement.  Harold was married on February 23, 1980 in Lapeer, MI to Linda Sue Bryant. The couple moved from Flint to Houghton Lake in 1997.  The couple enjoyed their home, the quiet woods, and the animals in the Barney Lake area.

Surviving Mr. Bliss are his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Sue Bliss of Houghton Lake; son, Steven (Crystal) Bliss of Del City, OK; daughter, Debbie Bliss of Mt. Morris; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.  Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Bliss.  

At the request of Harold, there will be no services.  Memorial contributions in Harold's memory are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
