Helen Virginia (Koton) Larr

Helen Virginia Larr, of Manton, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Wexford Senior Care Center in Cadillac. She was 75.
  
Helen was born on June 1, 1949 to John Koton and Clarsia Ann Teets in West Virginia. On August 28, 1978, she entered into marriage with the Dale Larr Jr. in Caldwell Township. The couple spent over 40 years together, until his time of passing in 2019. In her spare time, she could often be found outside gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved making special trips to the pier in Frankfort to go fishing. Helen cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Helen is survived by her loving children; two sons, Dave Barkley of Manton and  Robert (Denise) Barkley of Lake City; daughter, Crystal Riggleman; sisters, Clarsia Ellen Hawkins of Tunnelton, WV, Barbara Thorn of Tunnelton, WV, and MaryAnn Bankhead of Kingwood, WV; brothers, John "Bucky" Koton of Kingwood, WV, and Jay Teets of Manton; grandchildren, Nikolas Barkley, Steven Barkley, Aaron Barkley, Rick Wetzig, Dustyn Barkley, Brittnae Barkley, and Skylar Hoffman; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Koton and Clarsia Ann Teets; her husband Dale Larr Jr.; and three brothers, Tommy Koton, Ronnie Teets and Randy Teets.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Rollins Church in Manton. A luncheon will follow the services, also at the church.
