Herbert P. Brege

Herbert P. Brege, age 87, of Maple Valley passed away on Thursday April 28, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Herbert was born on August 21, 1934 in Rogers City, Michigan to William and Caroline (Furhman) Brege. He was married on July 6, 1957 in Posen, Michigan to Germaine M. Glomski. Herbert retired from GM after 31 years. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish in Bridgeport, he was a prior volunteer fireman for Flint Fire Department. Herbert enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in his garden. He especially enjoyed the time he would spend with his family playing ball and going on family picnics. 

Herbert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years; Germaine Brege of Maple Valley, children; Susan (Darwin) Brewer of Millington, Beverly (Rick) Rinilo of Florida, Carol (Edward Taylor) Brege of St. Helen, Randy (Patty) Brege of Posen, Paul (Elaine) Brege of Florida and Terry Brege of Sault Ste. Marie, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, brother; Elden (Barb) Brege, sisters; Marilyn Lafave, Elaine Bisson and Nancy Chuzan. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Bertha and Violet.  

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday May 13, 2022 at 11 am with Father John Mancini officiating at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church located at 3945 Williamson Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48601.
