Hollis White Obituary

Hollis B. White, age 94, of Houghton Lake passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

Hollis was born on February 20, 1925 in Perry, Michigan to Howard and Ida (Stewart) White. Hollis married Carol D. Gokay on September 9, 1961 in Plymouth at the Unites Presbyterian Church. He retired from General Motors and the couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1986 from Westland. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Sportsman's Club and enjoyed cars, his gun collection, riding motorcycles and watching baseball.

Hollis is survived by his loving wife; Carol White of Houghton Lake; his children; Hollis (Cindy) White of Gaylord, Howard White of Houghton Lake and Johanna (Mark) Pitchford of Royal Oak, six grandchildren and brother Howard White of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Henry White and Harry White.

Per Hollis's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
