Obituary

Howard G. Gibson, age 80, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday February 12, 2023 at Mission Point of Roscommon with his loving daughters by his side. 

Howard  was born on January 26, 1943 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Murray and Ida (Gross) Gibson. He was married in April 1979 in Ann Arbor to Judith L. Rue. Howard retired in 1997 from Ford Motor Company. After retirement Howard and Judith moved to the Houghton Lake area. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, going to watch the races at Merritt Speedway, and never missed a race on TV. 

Howard is survived by his loving daughter; Tammy (Neil) Dodds of Houghton Lake, Step-Daughter; Pam Yuschak of Houghton Lake, grandchildren; Brandy Ann (Brian) Foulkrod, Ann Marie Owen and Louie Brown, great grandchildren; Devin & Bobbie Foulkrod, and was expecting his first great-great grandchild, brother; Norman Gibson, sister; Jane (Jim) Noriss and niece; Donna (Harold), brother-in-law: Dave Sims and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Judith Gibson, and three sisters and one brother.  

Per Howard's wishes cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township.
