Howard Vernon Russell

Howard Vernon Russell Jr. age 78, of Lake City passed away December 13, 2024 at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Howard was born November 5, 1946 in Big Rapids, Michigan.

He was united in marriage to Trena Morrison on February 28, 2003 in Kalamazoo.

Howard served in the US Army during Vietnam and received the Purple Heart. He enjoyed fishing, cars and belonged to the AmVets.

Howard is survived by his wife, Trena and daughter, Sheila.

He is also survived by a brother, Richard Russell and three sisters, Linda (Nick) Umler,

Kathy (Doug) Kidder and Chris Russell, grandchildren: Anna, Brandon, Lacey, Alysia and Spencer, four great grandchildren and good friends, David Howe and Bob Gothard.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Lisa.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Manton Baptist Church, located at 416 7th Street, Manton, MI 49663. Pastor Daniel Hemmes will officiate.
