Inge Shepardson

Cadillac - Inge Shepardson, of Cadillac, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 9, 2025. She was 82.

Inge was born in Konitz, Germany on June 19, 1942, immigrated with her mother, Ella Traichel on January 14, 1952 and on November 18, 1974 became a United States citizen.

Inge loved big and with all she was, her love for others was returned by those she leaves behind.  Inge leaves behind her loving husband, Albert Shepardson of Cadillac; her children, Diane (Tom) Connell, Hedi Whitmore, Don Whitmore, Laura Amsel, Leah (James Behne) Perez, Brandi (Roger) Bergey, Teri (Chris) Morris, and Reuben (Rose) Shepardson; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inge loved watching wildlife, especially her cardinals.  She was an avid reader and loved to collect salt and pepper shakers, almost as much as she loved to be surrounded by her family.  A lifelong fan, Inge never missed watching her Detroit Red Wings play.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Angie and the entire Munson Hospice team. A celebration of life will be held at the Liberty Township Hall, located at 7478 N. 41 Road, Manton, MI 49663, starting at 12 noon, and memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of her husband, Albert Shepardson.
