Jack L. Pifer Sr.

Marion - Jack Lee Pifer Sr., of Marion passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Medilodge GTC of Traverse City. He was 75.

Jack was born on May 21, 1949, in Flint, Michigan to Max and Norma (Gillmore) Pifer. He enjoyed visiting at the local coffee shops, playing euchre, hunting, reading, watching westerns, and fishing.  Jack proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.  

Jack is survived by his ex-wife, Margaret Brothwell of Marion; his children, Jack (Tricia) Pifer, Jr. of Evansville, IN, Joseph Pifer of Cadillac, Austin Brothwell of Marion; his father, Max (Shirley) Pifer of Marion; siblings, Beverly Wood of Manton, Ronald (Kara) Pifer of Cadillac, Barbara (Ronnie) Ensing of McBain, Deborah Pifer of McBain, Rhonda (Mike) Keyes, Larry Dunbar, Sherri Manasco, and Cindy (Larry) Voorhies all of Byron, MI; an uncle, Chuck Gillmore of Marion; his grandchildren, Justin Pifer, Brighton Pifer, Samantha Pifer, Coral Butler, and Addison Brothwell; many nieces, nephews, as well as many other loving family members and friends.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Pifer; his dad, Elton Dunbar; an uncle, Don Gillmore, a nephew, Keith Boggs-Mosher, granddaughter, Jasmine Alexandria Pifer, brother-in-law, Dwane Manasco.

Visitation for friends and family will be at the Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 3:00 pm.  Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Marion in the Spring.   Memorial contributions may be directed to Disabled American Veterans.
