Jacqueline Frances Ruppel

Jacqueline Frances (White) Ruppel, age 76, passed away on December 28, 2024 after a brief stay at the Maple Ridge Living Center in Lake City.

Jackie was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 3,1948 and graduated in 1966 from the Belleville High School.  She attended Michigan State University; graduating in 1970 and married Danny Roy Ruppel the same year. They moved to Lake City, Michigan in 1972, where Jackie taught high school English for twenty five years; all in Lake City High School.

When not teaching, Jackie would be found spending time with her family, tending her flower garden, walking in the woods, reading in her treehouse, and rooting for the Michigan State Spartans.

She is survived by husband, Danny Ruppel, daughter, Shelley (Ruppel) Gledhill and husband Curt, and grandchildren Brooke and Levi. Also surviving are her brothers, Joe (Cindy) and Bill (Sue) White, and sisters, Lenore Quiroga (and her partner, Wayne Keiselback), Marga White, and sister-in-law, Trudy Kelly, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dolorese White, and brothers-in-law, Jim Ruppel and Gordon Kelly.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Pastor Herb Helsel officiating. There will be a visitation beginning at 12:00 pm until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Lake City Area Schools.
