James Eno Obituary

James Richard Eno, 68, of  Saint Helen passed away peacefully on Thursday July 31, 2025 in Houghton Lake surrounded by loving family, after a courageous battle with bone cancer.

James was born on December 17, 1956 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Roland and Geraldine (Driscole) Eno. He grew up in the Southgate area where he graduated from Schafer High School. He was a laborer in several factories in the Southgate area before moving to his cabin in the Twin Lakes area of Roscommon County.  Jim was a man who lived a quiet life, finding joy in the simple pleasures of nature and camaraderie. Whether he was out hunting, 4-wheeling, or snowmobiling, he cherished time spent outdoors. His cabin in the woods was a special place where he created countless memories with friends, and family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Roland Sr.  and his sister Patricia.  He is survived by five brothers and five sisters, along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the teams at Care Team Hospice and Christler Funeral Home for their care and support during this difficult time. James will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, laughter, and the great outdoors will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for James Richard Eno will be conducted at a later date.  Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
