James Michael Ignash passed away at his home in Evart, Michigan. He was 79.
Jim was born on August 2, 1943 in Bad Axe, Michigan to Raymond and Helen (Sosnoski) Ignash. In his early years, "Eagle" loved to ice fish in the big pink shanty once the ice was thick enough to hold it. After moving to Evart, gardening and woodworking became his passions.
He is survived by his daughters, Ann Weeks-Kozlowski (Chris) and Jennifer Pressotto (Phil); his grandchildren, Brandon "Buck" Ignash (Ashley), Dakota "Buckwheat" Weeks, Phillip Pressotto and Catie Pressotto, who nicknamed him Buckaroo Grandpa. Also survived by his great-grandchildren, Landon Ignash and Brayson Ignash; sister, Mary Ignash Babcock; sister-in- law, Judy Ignash; nieces, Karen Poma (Dave) and Amy Lusk (Jerry); as well as dear friends, OJ, Todd, Joe, Mike, and Andy.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Ignash and Helen Ignash; siblings, Carl Ignash and Elaine Ignash; brother-in-law, Matt Babcock.
Cremation has taken place and there are no plans for a service, per his wishes.
