James Ressler Obituary

James Lee Ressler age 83, passed away January 28, 2025 in Falmouth, Michigan.

Jim was born in Verona, Ohio on November 10, 1941 to Ogden W. and Vonda M (Dill) Ressler.

Jim attended college at Michigan Tech, and was a technician at both Sears and Northwoods Machining.  He was then a process engineer for many years at Kysor, where he was proudly involved in the design of the cooling system for the military Hummer. Later he went to work as an engineer at Fiamm before retirement. He also had his personal business “Jim’s TV Repair,” where he repaired televisions and CB radios.

Besides being an electrical and mechanical engineer, Jim was involved in many activities outside of working. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sport shooting and working on projects, but most of all valued spending time with his family and friends.

He was a lifetime member of the Free & Accepted Masons.

Jim is survived by a brother, Ron Ressler and wife, Mary of Rutledge, Tennessee. He is also survived by his children; sons, David Ressler of Allegan, Steven Ressler and wife, Laura of Marion, Charles Carlington and wife, Kris of Cadillac and daughter, Nicole (Carlington) Galarneau and husband, Jim of Ravenna. He leaves twenty three grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda Ressler and a son, James Lloyd Ressler.
