Janice Marie Franks

Janice Marie Franks, of Mesick, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at her home. She was 71.

Janice was born on July 29, 1952 in Lansing, Michigan and raised by her parents, Dale and Ruth (Cole) Franks. She proudly raised her two girls, Michelle and Kimberly. Family meant everything to Janice, and she helped her children in any way she could. Janice created many special lasting memories for her girls, including walking her daughter, Kimberly, down the aisle at her wedding. Although she could sometimes be stubborn and set in her ways, she was free spirited and had a very loving heart. Janice loved animals, and especially enjoyed her cats and the family dog, Smokie. She cherished the time spent with her newly triplet granddaughters and enjoyed every moment of helping raise them. She will be remembered as an amazing mother and grandmother.

Janice is survived by her loving children, Michelle Franks of Mesick and Kimberly (Paul) Wentworth of Mesick; granddaughters, Lily, Paula and Chloe; brothers, Daniel Franks and Gary (Sherry) Franks; sister, Diane (Ralph) Wallace; cousin, Deborah (Robert) Jackson; and many other loving family and friends.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Ruth Franks; and a brother, Greg Franks.
  
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Mesick AmVets, Post 120.
