Jeanne M. (Peterson) (Gregory) Milliman

Cadillac - Jeanne Marie Milliman passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026 at her home. She was 75.

Jeanne was born on September 1, 1950 in Reed City, Michigan to Roland and Mildred (Gustafson) Peterson. She was a graduate of Reed City High School. Jeanne dedicated her career to serving others working as a nursing assistant in a nursing home; where she cared for residents with patience, kindness, and deep respect. She brought comfort to those in need and treated every resident as if they were part of her own family.

Jeanne had a love for animals and nature.  She loved watching wildlife.  She even had a chipmunk that she befriended that would visit her each day. She had many pets over the years and was very dedicated to their care.  Jeanne had a gift for growing things.  She could often be found outside in her flower beds or vegetable gardens. She brought nature inside with her many house plants.  In her spare time, Jeanne enjoyed crafting and created many decorations for herself and her loved-ones.  She also had a talent for decorating her home, which was always warm and welcoming.

After moving back to Cadillac, Jeanne attended Temple Hill Baptist Church.  She formed many special friendships there and enjoyed getting together with the ladies of the church and spending time with them.  They were a support to her that she found invaluable.  Above all else, Jeanne cherished her family and was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Her family brought her immense joy.

Jeanne is survived by her loving children, Curt (Brenda) Gregory of Reeseville, WI and Theresa Quakenbush of Cadillac; grandchildren, Tyler (Rachel) Gregory, Samantha Hancock, Jessica Gregory, Jaryd Gregory, Amanda Gregory, Sarah Gregory, and Kristina Gregory; great-grandchildren, Parker Hancock, Lincoln Hancock, Eleanor Hancock, Lennex Hancock, and Elsey Gregory; as well as many other loving family members and friends.  Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her firstborn son Brian Gregory, and her grandson Zeke Quakenbush.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Jeanne will be laid to rest at Rose Lake Township Cemetery alongside her infant son, Brian.  Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.Hitesman-Holdship.com    The family is being served by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.
