Jeffrey Robbins Obituary

Jeffrey David Robbins, age 62 of Lake City passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025 at Munson Medical Center with his family by his side.

Jeff was born May 15, 1963 in Clare, Michigan to Jack and Sharon Robbins.

Jeff was a graduate of Lake City High School. He married Lori Kay Bouma December 27, 1985; sharing almost 40 years together traipsing off to the U.P. camping, fishing and hunting for elusive agates.

Jeff was a very hard worker doing drywall for 25 years until his heart issues decided otherwise. He loved and cherished time spent with his grandkids; going kayaking, teaching them to swim or taking them to the beach, which inevitably meant a trip to Tasty Treat afterward, taking them fishing and rock hounding along Lake Superior.

Jeff was also an avid hunter and fisherman and loved camping in the U.P. or out at Chalker Pond. He recently started to carve fish decoys with the Cadillac Carvers Club. He was also a big Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan.

Jeff was a devoted husband to Lori and loving father to Kristin (Blake) Downing of Lake City and Zachary (Kayla) Robbins of Manton. He was also a fun loving awesome Grandpa to Claire and Hoyt Robbins, Kenzie Downing, Ryker and Alayna Meyers. He will be incredibly missed by his dog, Sadie.

Jeff is also survived by his parents, Jack and Sharon Robbins of Lake City, brother, Tim (Melanie) Robbins of Manton, his in-laws, Louis and Bonnie Bouma of Cadillac, Todd (Carrie) Bouma of Zeeland, Brian (Chasity) Bouma of Tennessee and Tammy (Del) Westdorp of McBain, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and all of his fishing and hunting buds.
