Manton, Michigan - Jeffrey A. Schofield, of Manton, formerly of Grand Rapids passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at his home with family by his side. He was 56.

Jeffrey was born on November 23, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to James and Rita (Prusinski) Schofield. He spent the majority of his career working as a self-employed painter. Jeffrey enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially going fishing, hiking and kayaking. He achieved a Master Angler's fishing award in 1997. Jeffrey was a proud fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team. He cherished the time he spent traveling Europe beside his fiancée.

Jeffrey is survived by his fiancée, Shannon Fullford of Manton; daughter, Brittany Toms of Grand Rapids; three brothers, Robert Schofield of Grand Rapids, Gerald Schofield of Grand Rapids, and Thomas Schofield of San Leandro, CA; two sisters, Carol Schofield of Grand Rapids and Kathleen (John) Cage of Evans, GA; two nieces Fayre' Schofield and Nicole Cage; two nephews, Brandon Cage and Lucas Paxon; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother James Schofield.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hall-Holdship Funeral Home.
