Jennifer S. (Swift) Demaray

Harrietta - Jennifer Sue Demaray, of Harrietta and formerly of Lake Odessa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 26, 2025. She was 47.

Jennifer was born on January 6, 1978, in Lake Odessa, Michigan to Steve and Renee (Lahae) Swift. She grew up downstate, attending and eventually graduating from Maple Valley High School. Jennifer entered into marriage with George Henry Demaray Jr. on August 18, 2007, alongside Lake Michigan in Ganges, MI. 

Jennifer enjoyed the outdoors and often spent time in the garden, or canning the fruits of her labor in addition to what mother nature provided on the property.  She loved to visit lake Michigan and created many wonderful memories at the beach.  She had a passion for yard sales and often could find the most sought after or obscure items.  Jennifer was a member of Mesick AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary and will be deeply missed.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, George Demaray of Harrietta; her mother, Renee Swift; three beloved children, Alicia Decker, Cole Decker, and Wyatt Demaray; one brother, Greg Swift; her sister, Darcy Quisenberry; as well as many other loving family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Swift.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Mesick AmVets Post #120.
