Jerold Clifton Hendrix

 Jerold Clifton Hendrix, 85, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Saturday May 3, 2025 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Jerold was born on October 8, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska to Howard C. and Dorothy M.(Smith) Hendrix . He grew up in the Detroit area where his family had moved.  Jerold graduated from Roseville High School and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1957, which he was honorably discharged from. Jerold worked in Quality Control for General Dynamics for over 30 years before his retirement. He was married to Linda L.(Mowery) Hendrix who preceded Jerold in death in 2012. Following retirement Jerold had moved to Houghton Lake from Utica. He enjoyed tinkering with anything and owned a Resale Shop for a few years.  

Surviving Mr. Hendrix are his two daughters and their spouses, Sherri Hendrix and Rodd of Shelby Township, Joy & Cory Allegrina of Dryden; as well as two step daughters with their husbands, Lorri & Terry McKay, and Pamela & Jim Barclay; several grandchildren including Tim Hendrix & Joseph Hendrix whom he raised as his own. Jerold is also survived by an abundance of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Lynn Nausedas, and Susan Marie Griffin; three brothers, Rich, Don, and Bob; several nieces and nephews. 

Jerold was preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Linda L. Hendrix, oldest daughter; Debra Hendrix; brother; Howard Hendrix & oldest sister Carol Stripling.

Family Services for Jerold Clifton Hendrix will be conducted.  Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Memorial contributions in memory of Jerold are asked to be directed to Andrew Wommack Ministries.
