Obituary

Luther - Jerry Alan Briggs, of Tustin passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Bakersfield AFC Home, while under the care of friends. He was 59.

He was born on November 16, 1962, in Reed City, Michigan to Dale and Louella (Holcom) Briggs.  He proudly served his country with the United States Army, and spent time overseas stationed in Germany.  In earlier years you could often find Jerry behind the camera taking photos or behind the lens of his telescope gazing at the stars.  He enjoyed visiting the local RC air show in Tustin and even had his own remote controlled plane. Jerry also liked panning for gold and worked the ground in his garden.  He will be remembered by many for his good cooking and his spirit.

Jerry is survived by his son, Alan Baker Briggs; a daughter, Amber Quiroz; two granddaughters, Alina Baker Briggs and Alyssa Baker Briggs; his brother, Kevin (Chana) Briggs; sisters, Gail (Mike) Hubble and Debbie (Brad) Caldwell; his wife, Angela Briggs; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marilee Sue Grandy; and a brother, Timothy Dale Briggs

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday May 21, 2022 at Dighton Wesleyan Church.  He will be laid to rest, with military honors,  following the service at Sherman Township Cemetery.
