Joan Marie Booth, 77, of Prudenville passed away on Friday July 16, 2021 at home with her loving husband at her side.
Joan was born on October 13, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Katarina (Swibeck) Vorndran. She grew up and attended school in the Detroit Area. Joan was married on February 29, 1964 in Waterford to George E. Booth. Joan worked as a Administrative Assistant for Oakland-Livingston Human Services Agency and later for Northern Michigan Community Mental Health. Joan was a very kind and caring person, dedicated to, and enjoying, her work with the underprivileged and needy. Her special love was spending time with family, especially her loving son Benjamin, her precious grandchildren, her beloved George and her beloved dog Ollie.
Surviving Mrs. Booth are her loving husband of 57 years, George Booth of Prudenville; son, Benjamin(Stacy) Booth; three grandchildren, Jaden, Devon, and Carson. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Booth; and sister, Elsa.
Funeral Services for Joan Marie Booth will be conducted at 11:00am Tuesday July 20, 2021 from Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel with Fr. Bernard Tyler officiating. Interment will be in Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 20, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Joan are asked to be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
