John C Chryczyk

John C. Chryczyk, age 91, of Roscommon, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Grayling Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. 

John was born on July 26, 1934, in Poland to Frank and Mary (Jurkowski) Chryczyk. He was married on August 3, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, to Anna Pawlica. John worked as a Press Operator for many years before moving to the Houghton Lake area in 1972. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. John enjoyed bowling, fishing in Canada in his younger years, and taking walks in the woods. 

John is survived by his children, John F. Chryczyk, Frank (Laurie) Chryczyk, and Katherine (Doug) Bowman, grandchildren, Eric (Kristin) Morley, Stephanie (Ken) Nelson, and Justin (Lacey) Bowman, great grandchildren, Karly, Deanna, Zane, Evan, Kennedy, and Nathan, sisters; Anna Rydzewski, Mary Wozniak, and Janice (Marian) Zdanowski. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Anna Chryczyk. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. James Catholic Church on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11 am with Father Michael Steltenkamp officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel.
