John David Roderick, age 31, of Nashville, was released from the struggles of mortal life, into the arms of our Savior on March 4, 2023, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee following a brief illness.
John was born on Father's Day Sunday, June 16, 1991, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. John carried a genetic condition 18q- which left him with many physical struggles however, John was curious about life and loved meeting new people, he never met a stranger, He loved to "tell" jokes, tease family, and laugh. John loved tractors, trains, big rigs, and diggers. John loved to be around animals. The family farm in Manton was his favorite place to be. John was beloved by his friends and family and he in return loved them back.
John was served by Tennessee Family Solutions and lived in a group home in north Nashville. John loved the independence and community he found while there. He is missed by Fraizer, Vincent, Shnitra, Roosevelt, Shyaka, Hasna and Cherise, and roommates, John and Cody.
John was preceded in death by older twin brothers, Jacob and Job Roderick; grandfather, Paul William Boven; grandmother, Geraldine Lee Roderick; and grandparents, William and Nancy Brode; and an uncle, Kevin Roderick.
He is survived by his mother, Christina (David) Brode; father, Joel Dean (Kimberly) Roderick; eight siblings, Joel Roderick II, Victoria Roderick, William Roderick, Nathaniel Roderick (Amanda), Elizabeth Brode(Mike), Irene Brode, Giulianna Roderick, and Olivia Roderick; grandmother, Phyllis Boven; grandfather, Leroy Roderick; nonna, Linda Wagner; aunt, Marcey, aunt, Sue (Bruce) ; aunt Dorothy (Matthew) Runyan; aunt Valerie (Brad) Porter; aunt Bobbie (Ralph) Johnigan; uncle Jeff (Rhonda) Roderick; uncle Philip (Naoko) Roderick; and many other aunts and uncles.
Internment is the day before Mother's Day, Saturday May 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Soper Cemetery, where generations of his maternal family wait with his remains for the resurrection of the saints.
