John "Jack" Pilon Obituary

John Oliver "Jack" Pilon, 89, of  Prudenville passed away on Friday December 13, 2024 at Mission Point of Roscommon with loving family by his side.

John was born on June 23, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Ernest and Mary(Taft) Pilon. He grew up in the Detroit area where he graduated from Grosse Pointe High School.  Following high school John attended Culinary Training on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1960. John worked as a Chef and Manager at Oliver's Kings Table and the Brass Lantern in Prudenville.  He was also the Inn Keeper at the Riviera Inn in Prudenville for several years. He was an avid member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking even when outside of his work..

Surviving Mr. Pilon are several nieces and nephews, including Ernie Pilon of Prudenville.  John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marian Braun; and brother, Donald Pilon. 

The family of John Oliver Pilon will be conducting graveside services for John at the Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake, where he will be interred next to his loving parents.   Memorial contributions in memory of John are asked to be directed to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
