Jon F. Fischer

Cadillac, Michigan- Jon F. Fischer, of Cadillac, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital.  He was 78.
 
Jon was born on May 6, 1940 to Wm. Ernest and Eva  (Wilson) Fischer in Van Wert, Ohio. He was raised throughout his life by Richard and Eva Gamble. Jon was a graduate of a small one-room school house in Convoy, Ohio. He later attended IU where he received his Bachelor's degree in accounting. Jon spent his career working as an accountant for Kysor until his time of retirement in 1997. He entered into marriage with the former Sue Hansen on September 19, 1980 in Cadillac. Jon liked to follow and participate in most sports, especially basketball and baseball. He never gave up hope that someday the Detroit Lions would win. Jon loved to golf, where he learned and used new swear words. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jon is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sue Fischer of Cadillac; children, Deb Cook, Rich Fischer, Todd Totton and Tanya Snyder; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Eva Gamble.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held.
