Manton - Jonathan Lee Deibert, longtime resident of Manton passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He was 38.
Jon was born on December 17, 1986, at the Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to Ralph "Lee" and Cynthia (Phillips) Deibert. After a few stops during his childhood, thanks to the US Air Force, the family settled in Manton. Jon began working at the Cadillac Grill at the age of 14 and left in 2016. He attended school in Manton and became a member of the graduating class of 2005. After which he followed his passion for cooking and enrolled in culinary school. Jon worked at the Shamrock Bar in Manton for several years before heading to the Pines in Cadillac, eventually becoming kitchen manager.
Jon worked on the family farm, often enlisting the help of his friends. His favorite pastimes were playing video games and shooting off fireworks with his son, Alex, and the son of his heart, Jayden.
Jon is survived by his loving parents, Lee and Cyn Deibert of Manton; his son, Alexander Lee Deibert; son of his heart, Jayden Pluger; one brother, Alex Deibert; a step-sister, Melissa Jackson; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather, and beloved cousins.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
